Power Monitor

The Power Monitor is a block that can be used to get useful information on an EnderIO power grid and it's peripherals. It can display the storage of all machines and conduits connected to it, as well as the input and output of the system.

Usage

To allow the Power Monitor to show the info correctly, hook it up to a point in your network where ALL cables flow through, essentially as central as possible. This will ensure accurate readings concerning input and output.

Tabs

The Power Monitor has two tabs, information and redstone engine control.

Information Tab
In the first tab it has five fields of information, as well as an internal buffer of power. These are:
  • Conduit Storage - How much MJs are stored in all conduits in the network.
  • Capacitor Bank Storage - How much MJs are stored in all Capacitor Banks in the network.
  • Machine Buffers - The current MJ stored in all machines on the network, belonging to any mod.
  • Average Input - The average input into the network over the last five seconds.
  • Average Output - The average output of the network over the last five seconds.
Redstone Engine Control Tab
The first checkbox on this page determines whether the entire engine control system is active.
There are then two options for engine control.
  • The first number is the percentage at, when Capacitor Bank storage is below this percentage, redstone is emitted.
  • The second number is the percentage at, when Capacitor Bank storage is _above_ this percentage, redstone stops being emitted.
This allows you to set a range of percentages where redstone is emitted to the engines.
NOTE: Setting the second box to a lower percentage than the first causes flickering redstone, which may cause undesirable effects, as well as lag.


The internal buffer of the Power Monitor stores 10,000 MJ, is shown on both tabs, and is necessary to determine network statistics.
